Vera Kazakova is a Research Associate at IHMC generally focusing on natural language processing for cybersecurity research and development and an assistant professor at Knox College (IL).
Vera received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida (2020), under the direction of Dr. Gita Sukthankar. Her thesis focuses on communication-free division of labor in multiagent systems with dynamic needs. Her prior work also includes real world applications of evolutionary computation for stable bi-metallic nanocluster formations and drone flight-path optimization, information sharing and aggregation for cooperative transport, and narrative generation for storytelling applications.
