Ryan Tilley
Director of Commercial Development
Ryan Tilley joined IHMC in 2018. In his current role, he is leading strategic partnership development and commercialization initiatives that position the Institute’s most advanced research for market impact and long-term institutional growth. He previously served as Director Strategic Program Execution and Innovation. In that role he led critical initiatives, including multiple successful Triumph Gulf Coast funding proposals, securing multimillion dollar grants to support the establishment of a research cluster focused on Healthspan, Resilience, and Performance, among other projects.
With a robust background in executive management, Ryan has held pivotal roles such as Chief Operating Officer at various startups and high-growth organizations. His expertise extends to government contract consulting, particularly with the Veterans Administration and large Department of Defense sponsors, successfully navigating complex regulatory environments and driving strategic growth.
He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and dual bachelor’s degrees in finance and global economics from the University of West Florida. Additionally, he has earned a Master’s Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the same institution. His professional certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), ITILv3, Security+, and Certified Scrum Master.
Residing in Pensacola, Ryan balances his professional endeavors with a fulfilling personal life, enjoying time outdoors with his wife Kelly and their two children.
