Grant Compliance Associate
The Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC) is a not-for-profit research institute of the Florida University System known for pioneering technologies aimed at leveraging and extending human capabilities. Our team is dedicated to advancing human-centered computing, robotics, and other cutting-edge fields. We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Grant Compliance Associate to support compliance management of the Triumph Gulf Coast grant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and supporting overall compliance of the project.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for the Triumph Gulf Coast grant.
- Process and record financial transactions.
- Prepare and submit reports in accordance with grant requirements.
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary program constraints.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts.
- Reconcile purchase documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with IHMC’s and Triumph Gulf Coast’s policies and procedures
- Be a point of contact for program staff who have questions about grant tracking
- Develop and improve upon data tracking systems to streamline data reporting, ensure accurate data collection, and monitor program deliverables.
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, analyst, or in a similar accounting or compliance role.
- Excellent experience working with Microsoft Office products with strong emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with grant management and compliance, a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of working with Smart Sheets preferred but not required.
- Strong experience in compliance and bookkeeping to include (a) document collection and organization; (b) report tracking; (c) compliance monitoring; and (d) inventory management.

Position Type: Part-Time – 30/Hours (possibility to convert to Full-Time)
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
