Optics and Jello Lenses by Dr. Peter Polack, Ocala Eye
March 8, 2025
Our March Science Saturday was about Optics and Jello Lenses, and was led by ophthalmologist Peter Polack assisted by Cheryl Polack. Students learned about the evolution of the eye. They did experiments related to blind spots, optical illusions, and lenses. They observed the dissection of a pig’s eye and were able to look through the lens of the dissected eye. Seventh grade students were able to dissect an eye by on their own, if they so wished.
