Research Associate

Katherine joined IHMC in October 2023 as research associate working with Dr. Zach Graham and Kana Meece and their team on human performance research. Katherine joins the team from her previous positions involving clinical diagnostics.

She is a licensed Molecular Technologist through the Florida Board of Health and certified by ASCP but realized that research was her passion. She is especially interested in cancer biology, immunology, and genetics.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in genomics and molecular genetics from Florida Institute of Technology.

She developed a zest for science at an early age, dating back to her efforts to get a lemon to power an alarm clock as a fifth grader. She is eager to learn and expand her knowledge with the IHMC team here in Pensacola.

Outside of work she loves reading, being outside, gardening, running, lifting, yoga, reiki, and espresso.
