October Science Saturday was "Computer Game Design", presented by Dr. Kristy Hollingshead, Research Scientist at IHMC. About 60 Marion County elementary school students participated, learning to design and program a simple computer game. Almost two thirds of the students had never programmed before - but working at their own pace, all experienced success. The photos show the intensity of engagement that characterized this hands-on experience. The current season of Science Saturdays is sponsored by Lockheed Martin and by Ron and Phyllis Ewers. The October event was additionally sponsored by the College of Central Florida.
