Food - What’s in It? by Dr. Sunny Ferrero, Valencia College

December Science Saturday was about the food we eat. The session was presented by Dr. Sunny Ferrero, Professor of Biology at Valencia College. Hands-on activities focussed on understanding more about food labels, tasting the differences in similar but not identical foods, and understanding how the differences are related to the ingredients. The Fall 2018 Science Saturdays were generously sponsored by Lockheed Martin, Ocala Electric Utility, and Ron and Phyllis Ewers. Marion County high school students volunteered as assistants to the presenters.
