Paper Helicopters by Dr. Ian Perera, Research Scientist, IHMC

Science Saturdays for the new school year started in September, with “Paper Helicopters”, presented by Ian Perera. Students learned how helicopters fly, and they made and tested their own paper helicopters. They also varied elements of the basic design to see how flight would be affected. Student volunteers from Marion County high schools assisted. Contributions from Lockheed Martin, Ron and Phyllis Ewers, and Ocala Electric Utility made it possible to offer this season of Science Saturdays free of charge for all attendees.
